I was intimidated at first when I heard that it was an industrial sewing machine. To my surprise, it was user-friendly. It did not give me too many complications when I started using it. All the parts are lubricated by a centrifugal pump. I do not need to do manual oiling because of this. The special design of the hook and thread gives me trouble free high speed sewing.

Everything about this machine lived up to its expectation. It is built to last. It gave me little trouble so far. Since I am doing some side business of altering and dressmaking it helps that you have this reliable machine. When you used it, there is reduced noise and vibration. It is almost soothing than bothersome like some sewing machine of this size. It gives me easy handling of the material because the distance from the machine arm to the needle is sufficiently wide.

Another thing that I like about this sewing machine is mounting seat. It improves workability while   replacing an attachment. It also increases the durability of the machine bed surface.

What I do not like about the Juki DDL 8700

There is a small thing that I am not happy about. I wish that I can interchange the feet by pushing a lever like most home machines. With this machine, I need to stop and unscrew them before I can change the feet.

One of the features of this model is the high speed. Some people might be bothered about this if it is their first time to use an industrial sewing machine. The noise clutch motor is more apparent when you are using the machine inside your home.

As an overall view of the Juki DDL 8700, I absolutely adore it. It has given me an enjoyable and hassle free sewing from the time my husband has given it to me. I am hoping I do not sound so biased when I say that this sewing machine is incomparable to other sewing machines in the market. I really do believe that it is incomparable.  The Juki DDL 8700 also is low maintenance; you do not need to oil it often.  One thing more that I can say is do not be afraid when you hear the word industrial. It does not necessarily mean that it is only for professional sewers. It  also does not mean that it is complicated and hard to use. If you are planning to purchase a sewing machine, this sewing machine is recommended. You will be able to use it whether you are a home sewer, a fashion student, a hobbyist or even a sewing factory operator. If you are able to purchase the Juki DDL 8700 you will not look at other sewing machines the same again. This model is really worth your money.
